
The Client:
Inspired by the great outdoors and great musicians, Neil’s “old-school but new-fashioned” sound blends blues, folk, Americana and rock, delivering new waves of nostalgia to packed venues and intimate settings. He uses music as a tool to connect people and to remind them that everything will be alright through musical storytelling.
The Assignment:
Syracuse local musician, Neil Minet needed an entire brand identity—from defining the brand values to putting that definition into visuals, the assignment entailed a complete construction of a visual identity.
My Role: Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Web Designer
I created and designed a brand ecosystem based on his main music genre of blues music, his passion for the outdoors, and his individualistic nature. Elements include logos, merchandise designs, new photos, stationery designs, and a brand-new fully responsive website.

These logos reference the individuality of Neil Minet’s brand. They’re made from various elements from many iterations of his real signature, speaking to authenticity and uniqueness in the brand. Deep blue colors reference the emotions of blues music and the night sky.

Logos

Neil’s inspiration and admiration for the outdoors were subtly incorporated into this brand for a more accurate visual representation of his musical identity. I utilized the merchandise design to expressively communicate music’s morphing with the outdoors as an honest expression of Neil’s feelings towards the two topics.
The aesthetic is intentionally consistent with the brand, including elements of movement, simple lines and colors, and consistency with the logo.

After defining the brand, the website construction began, It was drafted in Figma, and built in Squarespace. www.neilminet.com is the central location for the audience to learn more about Neil Minet, find more content, and be redirected to necessary locations like concert tickets. An On-Brand Website
Working with portrait photographer, Surya Vaidy, we created a new set of studio photographs that complement the brand and for use throughout the website, guidelines, and social media.
