Skiing with Style

Role: Designer, illustrator

The concept was to learn digital illustration by creating ski graphics inspired by graphic design and natural landmarks. To start the designs, I created a global template for ski design. I sketched my ideas and brainstormed graphic genres. I compiled images for reference and illustrated general shapes until it finally turned into something I enjoyed. I used Illustrator to create a layer system and draw with the pen too. For the wolf skis I used and learned the vector brushes on Adobe Fresco, and I used Procreate for the skis with leaves on it.

Software: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Fresco, Procreate, Macbook Pro OS Ventura, iPad Air, Apple Pen

“Iterations” Exhibition

Skiing With Style was showcased as a part of the “Iterations” exhibition at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, New York. Viewers could walk through the gallery to see many long-term projects that demonstrated the practice of design in different iterations over thirty days.
